VICKY ANN DRUMMOND Obituary

DRUMMOND, VICKY ANN (nee BOOMERSHINE) July 5, 1946 – June 16, 2025 Beloved wife of Robert Drummond. Predeceased by parents, Arthur and Marguerite Boomershine; brother, Paul Boomershine; and sister, Sandra Tom. She will be much missed by nephews, Travis Fendley and William Boomershine; and Will's wife, Amanda; niece, Krista Kerin; great-nieces, Samantha and Sofia Boomershine; and great-nephews, Aidan, Logan, and Kristian Kerin. Vicky was born in Indianapolis, where she completed her BA in history and political science at Indiana University and Purdue University at Indianapolis. She completed her MA in political science at York University, and went to work as a coordinator of the Nellie Langford Rowell Women's Studies Library, and as office manager for Inanna Publications, both at York. Her friends and family knew her as a warm and caring person with a dry sense of humour and a fierce integrity. The funeral will take place at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre – 375 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto, ON, on Monday, June 23rd. Visitation at 10 a.m., Service at 11 a.m., followed by Interment. Donations in her memory may be made to York University, Sinai Health Foundation, or UHN Foundation.

It’s with sadness that we say farewell to a member of our Sparkplug family.

Vicky Ann (Boomershine) Drummond passed away peacefully on 16 JUN 2025 while she was living in the Toronto, Ontario area. Vicky was a member of the Speedway Class of 1964.

She was preceded in death by her older brother Paul Boomershine SHS-62 and her younger sister Sandra (Boomershine) Tom SHS-67.
