ANNOUNCEMENTS
After many years in the real estate business, I finally sat down to write the novel I had been thinking about for decades. It’s called “No, The Horse (Don’t Worry, I Won’t Shoot You)” and it’s the first book in a historical family saga.
The story grew out of conversations with a Texas trucker who raced at Indianapolis and lived through some remarkable times in the oil and racing worlds. Growing up in Speedway during the golden era of the Indianapolis 500 probably had something to do with it as well.
The book is now available on Amazon in paperback, hardcover, and Kindle.
Writing a first novel at 79 was something I never expected to do, but it has been a wonderful adventure. If any classmates enjoy historical fiction about racing, Texas, and the ups and downs of building a business and a family, you might enjoy it.
Best to everyone — and I hope life has treated you all well.
The paperback version of my novel No, The Horse (Don’t Worry, I Won’t Shoot You) is now available on Amazon.

You do not need a Kindle device to read the ebook version. Amazon provides a free Kindle reading app for phones, tablets, and computers, or it can be read directly in a web browser.
No pressure to purchase — I’m just happy to finally have it out in the world and wanted to share it.
This is the thank you card received from our 2024 'Class of '64' scholarship recipient.
The card is very hard to read so here is what she said.
Dear Class of '64,
I wanted to truly thank you for this scholarship. Winning this scholarship means more than words can express. As a recipient of this scholarship, I am even more alleviated with financial burdens, it will help me further my academic commitments. Your generosity helps kids like me succeed in the future. I promise to give back to others in the future, just as you have given me. Once again thank you for investing in education and believing in future college students. I'm sincerely grateful for this scholarship!
Sincerly, Damella Gdivez
I just wanted to let everyone know that our classmate Janet Wiltshire Drag passed away in a November. I sent her obit to our webmaster. Unfortunately, the obit appears pm my web page instead of Janet's. And I see that I am listed as deceased instead of Janet in the list of deceased classmates! If you want to read about Janet, please go to my page (until such time as my asked-for correction has been made) to read about my good friend Janet. We had lost touch for a while while we lived in Florida but over the past 10years reconnected and attended Purdue football games together (her husband is a Purdue alum).
